Little Red Riding Hood by Warja Lavater

I recently visited an amazing little design studio/shop near Soho called Partners and Spade.
The space is a quirkly little gallery like shop with new and vintage items on display.
One item that I found particularly interesting was a little abstractly illustrated book by
Warja Lavater published in 1965. It tells the Grimm fairytale,"Le Petit Chaperon Rouge"
(Little Red Riding Hood) with absolutely no text. The story is told through characters/symbols
that represent each character or scene. It was so beautiful and I haven't been able to get it out
of my head! Lavater created a series of 6 of these books, the other stories include Sleeping
Beauty and Cinderella.
